Greg Church was a professional golfer selling his services and golfing goods to golf club members at Oak Park Golf Club. Here, he was the club's head professional and owned his own shop.

For privacy, names have been changed slightly.

Dilemma:

  • Lacked a separate identity from the Oak Park Golf Club

  • Sales had stagnated despite new members regularly joining

  • Felt as though members didn't see them as a business but rather somewhere to stop to drop a scorecard off

My Recommendations:

  • Create an entire brand identity - visuals and the story behind the brand

  • Get online - e commerce and social media

  • Highlight and raise awareness of the business as a stand-alone

By creating a recognisable identity, this built trust and loyalty with customers while simultaneously standing out from the older, dated branding of the Oak Park Golf Club. For a game of golf, sure, customers headed to a well-known, highly rated course that is world renowned. But for the newest equipment? For news on golf and new techniques? Greg Church, of course!
